Victims Advocate Clean Up
If you've been a victim of crime, you may be able to obtain reimbursements for certain qualified expenses from the Florida Crime Victim Compensation Program. The Florida Attorney General's Division of Victim Services administers a compensation program. Qualified expenses may include financial assistance
for medical care, lost income, counseling, funeral and other out-of-pocket costs.
Covered crimes include assault, kidnapping, robbery, homicide and other violent crimes. Vehicular crimes include criminally negligent homicide and intoxication manslaughter. The claim must be filed within one year of the crime.
Crime scene clean-up is a covered expense – applications should be submitted timely.
You qualify if you suffered physical or psychological injury as a result of a crime. You also qualify if you are a survivor of a victim who was killed as a result of a felony or misdemeanor crime punishable under federal or state law including DUI.
